4-Letter Friday: FREE Fun in Las Vegas

Heel,  Las Vegas dog lovers. Tomorrow is Henderson’s Bark …in the Park, a four-hour love fest of all things canine. Of course, it’s FREE!

Leash up your dog and head to Cornerstone Park for the festivities. There will be lots of demonstrations. You can take part in fun contests with your better half. And if you don’t have a dog already, there will be dozens of dogs panting for a forever home.

The city asks that you bring canned pet food to benefit the Meals on Wheels Pets program. Humans aren’t the only ones going hungry in Henderson. Help!

Henderson is also hosting its inaugural Rover Run 5K. Yep, it’s a race for you and your dog. The cost is $35. The first 350 registrants receive a T-shirt (for humans) and a finisher dog tag for your dog’s collar, which s/he will wear proudly. The gun goes off at 9 am.

This is a really popular valley-wide event, so parking spots are at a premium. To avoid a dog fit over an available space, just park across the street at RC Willey and take the shuttle bus. Or, walk your dog over there!

Here’s what to avoid if you want to sell your house in six hours not 60 days:

Bark … in the Park starts at 10 am, right after the race. See you and your dog there, Las Vegas!

P.S. You do have to pick up your dog’s poop. Just sayin’.
