4-Letter Friday: FREE Fun in Las Vegas

Remember when Woody, the good-hearted cowboy doll, thought he was being ousted as Andy’s favorite toy when Buzz Lightyear shows up?

If you haven’t seen Toy Story, No. 1 the original, in awhile, you can tonight. FREE! (As my faithful readers know, FREE is my favorite four-letter word, followed by NEXT. But I digress.)

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and head to Mission Hills Park in Henderson. The show starts at 8:30.

You can also pack a picnic basket for an alfresco dinner until the stars. (Yes, stars tonight since the fires in Cali are subsiding.) Or, you can purchase snacks from the food trucks waiting to take your money. (not free.)

The park is located at the end of Mission Street right where the McCullough Hills start. It feels like the edge of wilderness.

School started this week. Soon life will become immeasurably busy for Clark County parents. This is a great opportunity to spend time with your kids as they ease into the school year.

Have a great week-end, Las Vegas and Henderson.
