Today being Black Friday, you are doing nothing FREE if you are out shopping. So I feel morally bound to save you a few bucks by giving you something really kewl to do that costs you NOTHING!
You can put your wallet back in your pocket (or pocketbook) if you are shopping at Downtown Summerlin. (Yes, you did read that right.) Tonight is the first night of the Downtown Summerlin Christmas Parade. It’s every Friday and Saturday at 6 through December 22. And yes, the parade is FREE!

Having just watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, you know the clever floats are one of the best parts. Guess who also got the message? Downtown Summerlin! This year’s parade features floats, which are pulled by tandem bicycles, for the first time. The six floats feature the themes of classic holiday movies.
The musicians and dancers will be there too. The dancers are as young as 10 so you might recognize your neighbor’s darling!

The parade organizers promise a little snow, even though it was 68 here in Las Vegas this afternoon. Let’s hear it for magic!

If cool jazz is more your thang, then block out 5-8 this Sunday afternoon. The last Sunday of every month is Jazz Session Sundays at Downtown Container Park. The musicians take the stage for a FREE show. I can be fairly sure it won’t be snowing there so you should be comfortable enjoying the great tunes.
