Riddle: What do swimming and the 1990s have in common? With a dash of the 1940s?
Answer: The city of Las Vegas’s syncronized swim teams‘ show entitled “That ’90s Show.” Local synchro teams prepared routines to favorite ’90s hits. The show showcases their talents.

Anyone who has seen an Ester Williams film (yes, I am showing my age) can appreciate both how difficult AND how beautiful these routines are.
And yes, because you’re reading about this show here, admission is FREE!
The swimmers begin displacing water at 2 pm at Baker Pool, one of the city’s prize recreational amenities. It not only has a six-lane competitive pool and TWO one-meter diving boards. It also offers Coast Guard approved life jackets for those who don’t know how to swim. The best part: there are lots of shaded seating areas!
This is where the synchronized swimming and water polo teams hang out in Las Vegas.
Let’s support the Southern Nevada Desert Mermaids (love the oxymoron!) and the Aqualillies…because there is sports as well as casinos in Las Vegas!
