4-Letter Friday: FREE Fun in Las Vegas

Beth Ellyn Rosenthal, eXp Realty

Las Vegas is a desert island, but that doesn’t change the fact we Vegas locals don’t long to be by the sea. You can tomorrow night if you can close your eyes and believe you are in Hawaii or Fiji!

Saturay night attend the Summer Island Castaway Concert, a FREE show paid for by the tax dollars flowing into the city of Las Vegas. The show starts at 7 and features the Volcano Island Steel Drum Band. The band plays calypso, island, laua, reggae and steel drum music. The Las Vegas Hula troupe will perform hula and Fiji warrior dances.

Bring a blanket or low-backed lawn chair for the outdoor concert at the Centennial Hills Park Amphitheater. This is also the site of free Movies in the Park.

You can buy Hawaiian shave ice if you don’t want to schlep your own refreshments.
