If you want to get up and dance tonight, go to Phoenix. Not the city, the band.
Phoenix is playing tonight at the Mizuya Lounge at Mandalay Bay. Trip Advisor calls Phoenix “the best cover band you will see anywhere.”
Phoenix specializes in class rock. But lead singer Tony Davich, who is also a drummer, can sing anything. He’s harmonized with Gregg Allmen, Sheena Easton and Christopher Cross, among others. He also sings with Las Vegas’s own Lon Bronson Band when Phoenix doesn’t have a gig.
The show starts at 10. I suggest getting there early because this band draws standing room only crowds. And it’s FREE. Drinks, however, are spendy. This is the Las Vegas Strip, after all!
