Who doesn’t love Cirque du Soleil shows? The artistry! The thrills! The music! The costumes!
Having just spent two weeks with the Cirque artists of Amaluna in Rome, I can attest they are a talented bunch. But I bet you didn’t know they can paint. Yep!
Yesterday the Metropolitan Gallery of Las Vegas opened an art show called “Parade the Collective.” Cirque invited all its employees to participate. Who needs Van Gogh when you can have Cirque?
And this is one Cirque show you can see for FREE!!!!!
The art gallery, which has 17,000 square feet of exhibit space, is on Fremont Street. Exhibit hours are noon to 5 Wednesday through Saturday. That means it’s early enough to get out of Dodge if you can’t handle the craziness of Fremont Street. And it’s late enough that you can have dinner and enjoy the craziness of Fremont Street.
If you part in the Neopolis underground lot, the museum is at the base of the steps. This is the cheapest place to park downtown unless you know a valet.
Have a great week-end, Las Vegas.
P.S. This proves we have culture as well as casinos.
