4-Letter Friday: FREE Fun in Las Vegas

eXp Realty

So much to do, so little time this week-end in Las Vegas.  In our four-wheel town, here are 2 two-wheel activities.

If you want to ride, join the ninth annual Blinking Man ride through downtown Las Vegas Saturday night. The participants are the ones not wearing Metro uniforms (the police) and have wild and crazy lights all over their bikes.

Each race has a theme.Tomorrow’s ride is named “Magical Mystery Tour de Finale.” Bicycle riders are encouraged to dress like John, Paul, George and Ringo. However, any offbeat costume will do….because what happens in Vegas, etc.

One of last year’s riders said, “It’s a riot taking over Las Vegas Boulevard, watching steam shoot from the ears of the apoplectic cabbies and bewildered tourists.” Yep, that’s about right.

The ride requires no permits, waivers or entry fees. I did say it was free, right?

Riders, gather at the Huntridge Tavern at Charleston and Maryland Parkway tomorrow at 7 pm. The meandering ride should be over by midnight. Oh, and there are pit stops at downtown watering holes along the way.

Sunday is for serious riders. The Tour de Summerlin features 40, 60 and 80-mile rides. All start and end this year at Downtown Summerlin. The first riders leave at 7.

The 2014 Tour de Summerlin. Love those red rocks!

This ride does cost to participate, (you do get a fancy jersey) but watching it is FREE! And the finish line is right at the site of another sport: shopping!

Have a great week-end, Las Vegas
