I remember when my parents talked about Prohibition, that awful, crazy time when you had to buy liquor from mobsters or bootleggers tied to organize crime…if you didn’t distill at home.
Monday is Repeal Day, when Prohibition was no longer the law of the land. To celebrate, Las Vegas’s Mob Museum again is sponsoring its Cocktail Crawl tomorrow. The Crawl takes you to some of Downtown Las Vegas‘s most iconic bars. Each is serving a specialty cocktail for just $5. (The Crawl itself and all the fun are FREE).
Participating bars are:
- Freedom Beat at Downtown Grand
- Triple George Grill
- Bin 702
- Parlour Bar at El Cortez
- The Kitchen at Atomic
- Oscar’s Steakhouse at the Plaza

This being Vegas, the Crawl starts tomorrow morning at 9 am. Yep, you read that right. It ends at 9 pm.
And, while you are downtown, tomorrow is also the Las Vegas Great Santa Run. Over 8,000 Santas are running.
You can watch the 5k, which starts at 10 am, and the 1 mile race which kicks off at 10:30. But the FREE entertainment starts at 8 am. The fees to run the race support Opportunity Village, a not-for-profit that serves adults with intellectual disabilities.
