Rejoice! It’s Holy Week. Spring has awakened Mother Nature in Las Vegas. The Gov has awakened entertainment in Las Vegas. Once again there’s lots to do. Happenings listed here are all FREE. Vegas is back!
Take a photo with the Easter Bunny

This year the Kinder have to wear mask when they snuggle up to the Easter bunny for the annual photo. Save it because it will be something to tell their grandkids. Like how the survived the 2020 pandemic.
The District at Green Valley Ranch has booked the Easter bunny today and tomorrow from 11 am until 7 pm. He’ll be waiting at the Easter Bunny Cottage near the Splashpad.
This session is FREE. Lake Las Vegas is also offering FREE photos with the Easter Bunny tomorrow, Saturday, but you do have to pay with your time. You have to visit three new home communities in Lake Las Vegas.
Why hot? Who doesn’t like walking through beautifully staged new homes that most of us can’t afford.
Here’s how it works. You start at the Lake Las Vegas Sport Club to pick up a passport. Then you get a stamp after visiting Lennar‘s Armano, Woodside Homes‘s Varenna and finally Richmond American Homes’s Amberock offerings.
Once you have all three stamps, stop by the Lake Las Vegas Real Estate Office for your FREE family picture with the Easter bunny and an Easter basket.
Your completed passport makes you eligible for FREE prizes like a round of golf for two at either the Reflection Bay Golf Course or the SouthShore County Club. If golf isn’t your thing, how about a FREE massage from Spa Lago at the Westin.
My favorite prize is a monthly pass to Lake Las Vegas Water Sports. The best reason to live there.
Talk about a team effort. Way to go, Lake Las Vegas!

Enjoy a sunrise Mass

Sunrise Mass is back. At Holy Spirit Catholic Church, the service starts at 5:30 am in the church compound’s Peace Garden.
Come in jeans and a jacket. (Save the Easter finery for the regular Mass.) The church sets up chairs but you can bring your own if you find them more comfortable.
The Mass starts in total blackness. The sun rises mid-Mass. It’s really awe-inspiring.
You will have to socially distance. You are outside, so you don’t have to wear your mask.
Enjoy the Great American Songbook

After seeing Bridgerton takes place in 1813. Love the clothes, but no, I don’t wish I lived in Regency England.
But I bet Michael Nugent wishes he could switch places with me. The 27-year-old entertainer is a master of the Great American Songbook from the 1940s and 1950s.
He is performing FREE tonight and tomorrow night at Parlour at the El Cortez Hotel and Casino.
The El Cortez was built in 1941, making it Downtown Las Vegas’s first resort. It had 59 rooms. Bugsy Siegel bought it in 1945.
That period infuses the room when Nugent starts to sing. P.S. He can do contemporary too.
Enjoy the glorious spring weather with azure blue skies, marshmellowy white clouds and warm temperatures. Have a great week-end, Las Vegas.
