The National Finals Rodeo has arrived in Las Vegas for the next 10 days. Yippee!
So of course our #4-Letter Friday is Rodeo related. How about two free concerts? The Silverton Casino Lodge is really (two) stepping up.
Tonight Mark Chestnutt (Bubba Shot the Juke Box, Going Through the Big D) is performing FREE at the Veil Pavilion. Next Friday night the stars are Little Texas (God Blessed Texas, Amy’s Back in Austin). The doors open at 9 and the show starts at 10, so all those attending the rodeo can hear the great country music.
Attending the NFR is spendy, but you can certainly see the action live in real time for free. Every casino has rodeo watching parties. Join me at my favorite rodeo-watching party down the road from the Silverton at the SouthPoint Resort and Casino. The ballroom parties feature door prizes. Join 300 screaming rodeo fans for the fun.
Of course, cowboys rule Vegas during the NFR. This is my favorite two weeks in Vegas, because while you can take the girl out of Texas, you can’t take Texas out of the girl!
