4 Letter Friday: FREE Fun in Las Vegas

Beth Ellyn Rosenthal eXp Realty

This week it was easy to select THE most fun FREE even in Las Vegas for #4 Letter Friday. It’s the Downtown Summerlin Street Festival.

The festival celebrates the opening of the Las Vegas’s newest mall, a 1.6  million square foot outdoor shopping, dinning and entertainment center at Sahara and the 215. There are 125 retailers and restaurants…because there’s nothing to do in Las Vegas!

Of course, shopping is never free. But the events, all on Festival Plaza Drive, are.  Tonight Sound Scape  and DJ Z-Trip start crankin’ up the music at 9 pm until “late.” Street performances start at 6 and go until 11, which obviously doesn’t qualify for “late.”

Tomorrow an Xtreme Fashion Show starts at 8 pm followed by the West Coast Bouncers featuring Blake Lewis and Kaya Jones. They knew I was coming because the fashion makeover starts at 4.

On Sunday there will be jazz bands in the Arroyo from 11 am until 7.

Kids activities include balloon art, face painting and candy making, just in time for Halloween.

This being Vegas, food is always a part of the party. Downtown Summerlin’s Street Festival includes Str(EATS). Ooh, do we love clever.

P.S. Red Rock Casino Resort is part of Downtown Summerlin, which includes 400 acres in an urban grid pattern.

Helping you live like a local in Vegas.
