4-Letter Friday: FREE Fun in Las Vegas

Beth Ellyn Rosenthal, eXp Realty

How often do you get to hear a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer for FREE? After all, this is Vegas where you can barely get into any show for under a Benjamin.

If you love rock’ n ‘roll, then you know that song because it was a big hit for Joan Jett & the Blackhearts. They will be playing that song, which rocked the Billboard Hot 100 in 1982, FREE at the Fremont Street Experience‘s 3rd Street Stage tomorrow night. I’m sure they will also do Crimson and Clover and I Hate Myself For Loving You. (oooh, have I been there…)

The show starts at 9 but I’d get there early because there are a lot of classic rock lovers in Las Vegas because the town is filled with a lot of Baby Boomers like moi who actually remember these songs when they came on the radio. TV viewers who are addicted to The Americans might have met these tunes there, too.

The Memorial Day week-end show kicks off The Fremont Street Experience’s Rock Of Vegas music series. Melissa Etheridge, Smash Mouth and Robby Krieger of The Doors are also slated to play. The series ends Labor Day.

Have a happy, safe Memorial Day Las Vegas. And thank you all you gave your all to keep America safe.
