In July Las Vegas is the hottest kewl place on the planet. It was 113 this afternoon when I got in the car after my physical therapy session (left rotator cuff tears). The entertainment options are hot too!
Most of the big name performers charge big name prices. We just learned our Las Vegas Raiders netted the most revenue from ticket prices in the NFL last year. We don’t have the biggest stadium. We have high prices!!!!
But it is my job, dear readers, to find FREE (my favorite four-letter word) things to do in the cool town. Buckle up ’cause here we go!
Play with the Female Bosom (South)

Get handsy with some boobs!
The Pottery Shop in Town Square is hosting a “Boob Clay Class for a Cause.”
In this class the instructor will teach you how to mould a vessel. Then you add your own unique boob design to it.
The shop professionals fire your design in a kiln. You then come back at your convenience another day to paint your masterpiece. It gets fired in the kiln one more time before you take it home.
Think about what a unique Christmas present this will be.
You must be 18 to attend. I guess that’s because those under 18 may not have enough experience to fashion their creation appropriately.
Note your clothes and hands are going to get dirty.
Also note:
- You can’t wear open toed shoes
- If you have long hair, it must be tied back
- Leave your rings at home
- Ditch any loose jewelry
The Pottery Shop provides all the tools, materials and instruction.
The cost to attend is FREE. But the Pottery Shop asks that you buy a ticket at any price you feel appropriate. All the proceeds go to Planned Parenthood.
Tomorrow, Saturday from 7 to 8:30 pm.
Cosplay at the Disney Art Con (Downtown)

Right now I am still into Disney having just returned from the eXp Realty Shareholders Meeting in Orlando where I was a featured speaker. We got to spend an evening at Universal Studios. Way too much fun for adults. But I digress.
Today through Sunday the Plaza Hotel & Casino is hosting the Disney Art Con: Las Vegas. FREE! (A word rarely associated with anything Disney….)
What’s even better, the Disney Art Con is way bigger than just Disney. It also features art work from:
- Anime
- Harry Potter
- Star Wars
- Marvel
- DC Comics
- Lord of the Rings
- Parody
- Dragon & Fantasy
Many of the artists will be on hand so you can meet them in person. How kewl is that?
Even better, they welcome cosplayers!
P.S. The organizers, of course, want you to purchase the art.
Groove at Las Vegas’s Newest Ultra Lounge (West)

The illuminarium at Area 15 is like a Disney attraction. It uses strobe effects, immersive sound, vibrations and realistic projection to create an immersive experience. The current exhibit is SPACE: A Journey to the Moon and Beyond. This is not FREE.
It’s completely indoors, a great thing in Las Vegas in July.
The venue just opened ULTRA Lounge. You start your evening in the night markets of Tokyo or the floral gardens of France. The settings constantly change on the wraparound screens. There’s a DJ and some highest-tech audio.
It costs a massive $20 to attend. But on Friday nights locals get in FREE!
Doors open tonight at 9.
Have a great week-end, Las Vegas!
