Saturday is National Pet Adoption Day. I couldn’t live without my zoo: a Labradoodle, miniature poodle, flame point Siamese and blue and gold macaw. ALL rescues!

Las Vegas’s own The Animal Foundation is participating in the national event by waiving all adoption fees tomorrow. If you have room in your home and your heart to provide a forever home for one of these creatures, take advantage of the financial gift. The typical adoption fees for dogs are $105-$250 and cats $25-50.

Please, please, please take me home!

I have found rescues are great pets because they truly appreciate a good home. Trust me, they remember what it’s like to be stuck in a cage day in, day out.
