Las Vegas is one of THE entertainment capitals of the world. But great entertainment here can be very spendy. This blog is dedicated to finding you, my loyal readers, fun things to do in Las Vegas that are FREE.

Like Mardi Gras in New Orleans (coming up!), you have no idea what it’s like watching the Super Bowl in Las Vegas until you actually experience it.
Fans are opinionated all year long. But when they have real money on every outcome (thanks to the props bets), the good, the bad and the ugly come shining through. It’s high drama to watch betters misbehave when they realize they just lost this month’s (and probably next month’s) mortgage payment go down the drain.

Super Bowl: Las Vegas’s Most Popular Week-end
Did you know Super Bowl week-end attracts more visitors to Las Vegas than any other week-end, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. Last year they say 311,000 people showed up. Only 309,000 actually arrived for New Year’s Eve, the second biggest calendar draw.
Last year the Nevada Gaming Control Board reports football fan bets $146 million (legally) on the game. THANKS for educating the children of Clark County!

The Most Expensive Super Bowl Bash
The most expensive Super Bowl bash in Las Vegas that I know is at the Wynn. Encore Beach Club‘s party Hail Mary package costs $25,000 per. It includes seating for 19 of your best friends, three bottles of Dom Perignon, six bottles of Grey Goose, Red Bull and yes a case of Bud Light.
South Point Hotel & Casino

Anyone who has been to a National Finals Rodeo party at the South Point knows first-hand this off-Strip property knows how to throw a party. There will be viewing sessions in the Showroom, Grand Ballroom, Grandview Lounge, Exhibit Hall and the Sports Book.. FREE.
South Point’s Sport Book is offering in-room wagering, so you don’t have to go anywhere. There are drink and food specials but alas they are not free.
Las Vegas Events Center

It will be a wild party if it’s anything like the night the Golden Knights lost the Stanley Cup. The outdoor venue can hold up to 15,000 people.
The party is named “Biggest Big Game Bash.” You can watch the game on either side screen or the main screen, which takes up 72 feet. Entry to the party is FREE!
However, if you want to sit at a table, it costs $240 for a table of four. You can reserve a man care for up to 20 people if you spend $5,000 on food and drinks.
Westgate Las Vegas

The entire property will become one Super Bowl party complete with big screens everywhere.
If you want to sit down, there will be parties at both the International Theater (where Elvis performed in his day) and the Westgate Cabaret.
In case you’re wondering, I’m routing for the Chiefs. But I’m not betting on it!
Have a GREAT Super Bowl week-end, Las Vegas.
