After a really difficult week, I need some three-part harmony. So you will see me tonight at the Encore Las Vegas to hear the vocal pyrotechnics of Lady Luck. FREE!
Lady Luck used to be the name of an old casino in downtown Las Vegas. Now it’s the name of a singing group made up of three ah-maz-ing ladies: Nicole Kaplan, Rachel Tyler and Heidi Webster. All are Broadway babies, having sung the starring roles in plays like Chicago, Mama Mia and Into the Woods.

They sing together, they sing separately. And Kaplan’s husband, Graham Fenton, who starred in Jersey Boys, will probably pick up a microphone too.
These winsome women became besties when they performed in Show Stoppers, a Wynn Las Vegas show for many years.
Lady Lucky will be performing at the Eastside Lounge at Encore Las Vegas tonight and tomorrow night. The show starts at 9:30 and goes until 1:30. Admission is FREE but unless you walk to the Strip, you will have to pay $15 for parking. (Don’t get me started.)
If bocce is more your thing, head over to the South Point Arena & Exhibit Hall. This weekend is the annual Las Vegas Open Bocce Tournament. If you’ve even been to Italy, you know bocce is a national past time. Players are really passionate about these balls!
Don’t you love the looks on the faces of these Italian alte cockers?
You do have to pay to play, but watching is FREE.
If bocce isn’t enough action for you, you can buy a ticket to the Tuff Hedeman Championship Bull Riding competition next door, which is definitely a lot more dangerous.
Bull riding is the toughest sport on dirt. (Great slogan)
