The stats are getting grimmer. And the NFR is bucking away in Dallas instead of here. So much to be sad about! So here are some FREE fun things to do in Las Vegas this week-end to bring some joy into your life.
Trump Humor
Love him or hate him, you have to love Las Vegas’s own John Di Dimenico‘s portrayal of our President. You have to watch his “non-concessions” speech on YouTube. He’s joined by another local favorite, Mikalah Gordon, who plays his adoring wife Milania. “I am not conceded, so I will not concede,” he says. He also calls Lake Travis Lake Travesty. I know Austin so that’s really funny.
While there, check out his Thanksgiving press conference where he proves the turkeys are ANTIFA.
He has 75,000 subscribers on You Tube. He has also amassed 3.5 million followers on TikTok. The two are funny!
My favorite Di Dimenico/Trump joke from a live performance back in the day when there were live performances: “I’ve been to Israel. That’s how I know walls works. I saw no Mexicans in Israel.” Clever!
Go Christmas Shopping (Uniquely AND Safely)
Saturday is the Bottega Exchange Holiday Market. It’s an outdoor pop-up market, so it’s a safer place to shop.
Local artisan vendors will be there selling their one-of-a-kind goods.
Attending the Holiday Market is FREE. But if you are giving gifts this year, you can find:
- Jewelry
- Prints
- Pottery
- Stationery
- Candles
- Vintage clothing
- Handmade beauty products
There will be food trucks in case you are hungry. And delicious fresh baked goods.
The Holiday Market runs from 10 am-5 pm. You find the fun at 6675 South Tenaya Way. Las Vegas.
The New York Times Cookie Swap
Want to learn how to make Christmas cookies? Melissa Clark, a New York Times (fake news!) food columnist, will demonstrate how to prepare one of her cookie recipes. Then she will answer baking questions from viewers.
I am not a baker, so I have a lot of dumb questions! But I do love cookies! In fact, bring me some!
