FREE Fun in Las Vegas: 4-Letter Friday

Finally, our Covid numbers are dropping. AND it’s a beautiful winter/spring day in Las Vegas. Here are some kewl things to do for FREE this week-end.

Yoga from the Garden

As all y’all know, yoga is one of my passions. I love practicing in my studio (TruFusion), but it’s kewl to find unusual places. For example, in the summer the Neon Museum holds classes in its Neon Boneyard. Or you can take a yoga class on our observation wheel, the High Roller at the Linq.

So I search out unusual places to practice when I travel. For example, you can take the Aspen Mountain Gondola to the first level of the mountain for a sunset yoga class. It’s tough because you are 11,212 feet above sea level and the air is really thin. But the view…

Another favorite place to practice yoga is in the garden of the United States Botanic Garden in Washington DC. The FREE weekly class is held in the Conservatory in the winter or the outdoor gardens in the summer.

But it’s Covid time. So now the classes are online. An instructor from WithLoveDC guides you through your practice. But you have to register.

The class is 60 minutes. It starts at 7:30 am our time.

The Zoom link to register is https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_4dI8s7GuRIiyvvHfgzYfIQ?fbclid=IwAR17MXVo1sZ0fkq23oFD9I6pWZF8hi28AvMtlOUSm6NC7Vop6yB8gw1RgG8

This online series runs through February 27.

Namaste, yogis.

P.S. There’s an online yoga class for kids at Cosmic Kids. But these cost $10.

Take a Tram Ride

The Aria Express is the tram ride to take

There are three FREE trams on the Las Vegas Strip. They are:

  • Mirage-Treasure Island Tram
  • Aria Express: Bellagio-City Center-Park MGM Tram
  • Mandalay Bay-Excalibur Tram

If you want a jaw-dropping view of the Las Vegas Strip and don’t want to pay for a helicopter ride, take the Bellagio Tram. The ride from Crystals to the Bellagio gives you an sky-high panorama. (If you have vertigo, skip this. You are up there!!!!)

If you go at night, the neon is ablaze.

The tram stops are outside but you’re in a covered enclosure.

If you want to take the Las Vegas Monorail, the tickets start at $13. But it goes everywhere on the Strip.

Learn How to Write a Song

Jeff Tweedy’s book

Ever wanted to learn how to write a song? Confession: I’ve tried many a time…. But alas, you haven’t heard any of my songs on YouTube or the radio…

So I plan on attending Jeff Tweedy‘s seminar. Alright, it is going to cost me $5. But that’s almost FREE to me.

Tweedy is a Grammy-winning song writer and artists. He is a founding member of the rock band Wilco.

It’s next Tuesday at 5:30. RSVP on Eventbrite. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/virtual-ideas-exchange-jeff-tweedy-tickets-135772919457?utm_source=sfmc_100035609&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Ideas+Exchange+-+Jeff+Tweedy&utm_term=CTA+Button&utm_id=21892&sfmc_id=996428

P.S. I signed up. Stay tuned. Carol King, watch out!

Have a safe and fun week-end, Las Vegas.
