Sunday is Mother’s Day. Who wants FREE stuff for Mom? (Hands raised!)
Head out to Downtown Summerlin Saturday for its “Celebration of Moms.” FREE events include:
- A stroller stride work out
- Professional photos with Mom
- Raffle giveaways

There will be face painting and a balloon artist to keep the kinder occupied, which is always a gift for Mom.
If cars are more your thing, go downtown to Fremont Street for the Las Vegas Car Stars car show extravaganza. This includes a “Meet the Beetles Car Show.” This, of course, has nothing to do with Paul McCartney. (Gotta love clever.)
The kick off party starts tonight at 5 at the Fremont Street Experience Third Street Stage. Saturday all those gorgeous cars will be on display. There will be lots of muscle-bound muscle cars. I’ve always been in love with the 1966 cherry red Ford Mustang.

If movies are more your thing, tonight is Movie Madness in North Las Vegas. The whole family can watch Ralph Breaks the Internet. In this film video game bad boy Ralph and Venellope von Schweezt travel to the World Wide Web to find a replacement part for Penelope’s video game.
Families festivities like a bounce house start at 6; the movie starts when the stars come out, about 7:30. At Valley View Park on Bennett Street. I did say the movie is FREE right?

I love ‘splaining to the world that there are a gazillion things to do in Las Vegas and most are NOT on the Las Vegas Strip. This is a great place to live, people!
