All year long Las Vegas is one of the Entertainment Capitals of the world. Every fall, Las Vegas becomes the COWBOY Entertainment Capital of the World.
This glorious fall fall-back week-end where we get one more hour to party has tons to do FREE. Many have nothing to do with bulls.
It is my job, dear readers, to suss out the kewl things to do for FREE. Strap in ’cause here we go!
Shop the PBR Finals Week Western Gift Expo (South)

You can take the girl out of Texas but you can’t take Texas out of the girl (that being me.)
Fort Worth and Jerry Jones have lured the Professor Bull Riders out of Las Vegas to Arlington, Texas. This is the last year we locals have the opportunity to enjoy anything PBR. (At least the National Finals Rodeo is staying put.)
The gift show at the South Point Arena & Equestrian Center is like visiting an art museum. Behold the artistry of the vendors. Many of the items are actually hand-made.
Admission is FREE. But I am warning you. You may be tempted to take something home.
The show is open today and tomorrow.
Nosh at the Super Sunday Jewish Food Festival (Summerlin)

Imagine one big outdoor deli.
Jewish Nevada, Nevada’s Jewish Federation, hosts this culinary feast. Local restaurants like Bagelmania, Pinkbox Doughnuts, Kosher Chinglish and Burnt Offerings are on the menu.
But this is a cultural event too. The festival will highlight Jewish arts.
But you had me at food.
At Tivoli Village from noon to 4.
Rock with George Thorogood & The Destroyers (Downtown)

The Downtown Rocks series at the Fremont Street Experience is one of the best FREE concert venues in Las Vegas.
Tomorrow night George Thorogood & The Destroyers rock the Third Street Stage.
Yes, that George Thorogood. The one that has sold over 15 million albums over the last 45 years. I did tell you the show was FREE, right?
The rock n’ roll starts at 9.
See the Vegas Golden Chariots (Summerlin)

Kids who can’t play hockey because they can’t stand upright can still enjoy the thrill of a game on the ice. Their disabilities do not define them when they play sled hockey.
Las Vegas’s youth sled hockey team, the Vegas Golden Chariots, hosts the San Diego Ducks for a three-game series this week-end. These kids play their hearts out; it is a beautiful thing to watch.
And the games are FREE.
The first game is Saturday at 1:30 pm. Second game is at 6:10 pm. The final games is Sunday at 7:20 am.
All at City National Arena, natch.
Go Chariots Go!
P.S. While you are there, stop at Mystic Pizza for a great meal.
If you want to spend money, Kevin Costner and his band are playing at Sunset Station Amphitheater tomorrow night. And The Rolling Stones rock Allegiant Stadium Saturday night.
Have a great week-end, Las Vegas.
