Yep, now that the mercury tops 100 during the day, it’s time to wait until after sun down to spend time outside, when the weather in Las Vegas is actually lovely. That’s probably why Fergusons Downtown moved its popular Market in the Alley to night time hours.
The monthly Market is tomorrow night from 6-10. So what is it? Fergusons Downtown hosts local vendors and craftspeople to sell their wares directly to you. Food. Art. Crafts. Produce grown locally. All delicious! Plus you get serenaded by up-and-coming local talent.
Fergusons Downtown Market in the Alley
The Market in the Alley is really a market in the alley. You’ll find it in the alley between 10th and 11th Streets on Fremont Street. It’s a charming, clever venue that’s family friendly.
Fergusons Downtown itself is a market square squarely rooted in the local community. The centerpiece of the square is the renovated Fergusons Downtown Motel, which was famous because the rooms had their own kitchens! (It opened in 1960.) Tony Hsieh‘s Downtown Project bought the decrepit hotel and purposely only fixed, not replaced the existing tile, doors and windows to resurrect the the original1960’s (now retro) vibe.
The original owner used this experience to start the Best Western chain. But I digress.

This month’s theme is “Downtown Vibes.” The market actually captures the vibe that is Downtown Las Vegas. It’s soo vibe-rant good luck finding a parking space. (Use an app!)
Attendance at the Market in the Alley is FREE. If you hear the siren call of a one-of-a-kind, must-have item, well that’s gonna cost you….
While you are downtown, head east on Fremont Street to check out the Nelly concert. This show is FREE. The Saturday show, which kicks off at 9, is part of the Fremont Street Experience’s Downtown Rocks FREE concert series. On the Third Street stage.
