Who wants a new dog? (Probably every dog lover.) But if you really want to add another love bug to your household, you have two opportunities tomorrow in Henderson.
Tomorrow is the City of Henderson’s annual Bark….in the Park festival. This is its 16th year. The four-hour extravaganza at Henderson’s Cornerstone Park features the on-site adoptions. I’m looking for a new standard poodle or Labradoodle, so keep your fingers crossed.

You will join at least 3,000 people with their beloved pets. And it’s FREE! (Actually my Henderson property taxes is subsidizing this event. You’re welcome!)
Every hour on the hour will be a pet cake walk. Petisserie, which bakes goodies for our canines, leads the parade. At 10 am there’s a dog CPR class. What a great thing to know.

Doga is at 11. That’s for both human yogis and their pets. Dogilates, pilates for dogs, is only for the dogs. Important if you want your pet to have a six pack.
At noon the Henderson Police Department K9 Unit will show off its dogs. My Bensley has gone through Citizen K9 training and knows how to handle a perp in a bite suit. But these dogs are the pros!

If you want to ante up, you can pay to take a rattlesnake avoidance class offered by Get Rattled.
There will be FREE dog massages and dog grooming. I wonder if the masseuses will also work on my sore shoulder.
And don’t forget the pet psychic. There will be FREE animal readings by animal communicator Jennifer Wallens. I’m sure Bensley is going to ask if a delicious human steak is in his future.
There will be contests! Prizes! Maybe your pooch will pick up a prize.
All dogs must be on a leash. And yah, you do have to pick up after your pets.
There’s not much parking at Cornerstone Park. But the wise city planners at the city of Henderson have thought of everything. You can park across the street at RC Willey and take the FREE shuttle to the park. From 10-4.
If you want to skip the hullabaloo, head out to Findlay Honda of Henderson. The car dealership is having a dog adoption tomorrow from 11-3.
