Yep, you can get up close and personal with one of my favorite country groups, Rascal Flatts, today at 3:30. They will be getting a Las Vegas splashy welcome. Here’s the 411:
Head to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Las Vegas. The band will arrive in Richard Petty NASCAR race cars and say hi to the crowd. (Next week-end is NASCAR week-end here in Las Vegas.)
The Foothill High School marching band will perform “Fast Cars and Freedom” while waiting for Gary LaVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney to arrive. The procession goes from the hotel’s entrance to The Joint, which is the Hard Rock’s concert venue. The event will end with the marching band playing “Life is a Highway.”
Tonight the country band begins a residency every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday through March 14. Tickets go from $39.50 to $250. The Joint is a huge concert venue with pretty good visibility and acceptable acoustics.
The Foothill marching band is fresh from their star tour at this year’s Rose Bowl Parade. That’s my high school and I’m proud of those kids! Las Vegas has talent!
P.S. I’m going March 13. Join me!
