It was 73 degrees today here in Las Vegas, but tomorrow winter’s coming!
Winter’s Village opens tomorrow at both Green Valley Ranch Casino and Red Rock Casino at 11 am. Admission is FREE because everything else isn’t.
Both casino properties feature an ice rink with real ice (what is unreal ice?). Every Saturday Santa will be there for a Las Vegas meet and greet. There will even be a FREE holiday lounge called Frost.
What’s not free is the ice skating. That will set up back $25 for adults and $15 for kids five and younger.
There wasn’t much ice skating action before last year, when a phemon called the Vegas Golden Knights appeared on the scene. Now ice skating is cool (pun intended.)
Actually, the Cosmopolitan was the first Las Vegas casino to sport an outdoor ice rink. They serve creative adult beverages there.
If indoor craft fairs are more your thing (first off, it’s warm there!), head over to the Community Lutheran Church. Tomorrow the Vegas Viking Lodge of the Sons of Norway (not a sports team) is hosting its annual Scandinavian holiday bazaar.
Once again, admission is FREE. But if you want to purchase any of the imported Scandinavian items like Christmas tree decorations, dishes, mugs or calendars, you will have to pull out your wallet.
I plan at attend for the food. Like the fresh baked Norwegian waffles. Or the lefse, which is like a potato pancake only paper thin. After eating one of these babies, you will NEVER order greasy hash browns again.

This is a lefse cooking. Yummy! You will never eat hash browns again. Beth Ellyn Rosenthal, eXp Realty
And there is entertainment throughout the day. That’s FREE too. But the food is my idea of entertainment.
You can show up for breakfast because the doors open at 9. They are going to close up shop at 2.
I guess I don’t need to remind you that Thanksgiving isn’t until next week.
Have a great week-end, Las Vegas.
