Las Vegas, this is the week-end to see big stars FREE.
Don’t miss Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band‘s “Salute to the Troops” FREE at the Fremont Street Experience. I’ve seen the band perform at the Cannery and they are terrific. Yes, Gary Sinise, who played Lt. Dan Taylor in Forrest Gump and Mac Taylor in CSI: New York, is an accomplished bass player.
The 12-piece band plays covers from Stevie Wonder to the Zac Brown Band. The show always starts with the familiar strains of The Who’s Baba O’Riley, CSI: New York’s theme song.
Sinise is the founder of the Gary Sinise Foundation, which is dedicated to helping US service members, veterans and first responders and their families. This is the third year the Lt. Dan Band has played Fremont Street to honor veterans on Veterans Day week-end.
The show starts at 7:30 on the 1st Street Stage; it’s the one near the west end of Binion’s Gambling Hall.

Gary Sinise is actually a really good bass player!
If Britney Spears is more your style, head to the LINQ tomorrow night. Britney will be lighting the 30-foot Christmas tree at 5 pm at the LINQ Fountain stage.
Given the timing, you can do both! Have fun this week-end, Las Vegas.
