4-Letter Friday: FREE Fun in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is known for casinos, not culture. But believe it or not, there is culture here.

Saturday you can attend a FREE regional opera competition. The winners will represent Nevada as they advance to the Rocky Mountain Regional Finals in Denver. You get to hear some fine arias and not at the Aria!

The winners there advance to the semi-finals in New York City, getting to sing on the Metropolitan Opera stage. The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra will accompany the competitors in the Grand Finals. In addition to singing in the Big Apple, the winners will take home $15,000 in prizes. How’s that for a jack pot?

stage of the met with full orchestra before an audience eagerly ...

Just show up at the Dr. Arturo Rando-Grillot Hall at the Lee and Thomas Beam Music Center at UNLV. Did I mention this Las Vegas competition was FREE?
