The Stratosphere Casino Hotel and Tower is the tallest building in Las Vegas. Its Observation Deck is a tourist magnet. Saturday morning you have a chance visit the Observation Deck… if you climb 234 steps to get there.

Last year’s participants scaling the Strat.
Every year the American Lung Association holds a fund raiser called “The Fight For Air Climb;” the climbs take place in prominent skyscrapers. Here in Las Vegas, it’s the Stratosphere, natch. The actual Las Vegas race, called “Scale the Strat,” is March 1.
Racers need practice, right? The only practice run is this Saturday morning from 7 until 9. Climbers will be assigned to groups. The goal is to complete the 12-floor loop as many times as possible in 30-minute intervals.
The practice climb is between Floors 101 and 112. Level 112 is outdoors on the Observation Deck. So you have to be fit and not acrophobic (or just don’t look down)!
The cost is $30 per climber, but you do receive two VIP passes to enjoy the Observation Deck with friends (and take the elevator) on both Saturday and Sunday.
Each climber is encouraged to raise $150. I will climb if all y’all will donate. Let me know Las Vegas.
