Las Vegas is one of the entertainment capitals of the world. But entertainment here can be very spendy. 4-Letter Friday finds FREE fun in Las Vegas for your week-end pleasure!
Food and drink are on the FREE dance card (sorry for the mixed metaphor) this week-end.
FREE Beer at Crafthaus Brewery
Who wants to try a new beer? Who wouldn’t want to sip a beer called Wundernutz? The makers claim the they jammed so much hazelnut into this imperial brown ale they had to be nuts!
The biermaster claims it has “a huge toasted hazelnut aroma, a vanilla tsunami wave and a bold, roasted coffee finish.” Who writes these descriptions? But it sounds delicious anyway.
The brewery is currently hosting a tapping party today only. The brewery’s moniker is “community-minded craft beer.” They claim they have been “pouring our heart into each pint since 2014.”
At both locations at 197 East California Street downtown and on Brewery Lane at 7350 Eastgate Road in Henderson.

Celebrate Elvis’s birthday with FREE French Toast at Gastrobrunch
Did Elvis like French toast? Elvis would have turned 85 last Wednesday. And I’m sure you’re not surprised Las Vegas loves Elvis.
Toasted Gastrobrunch, a locals restaurant on West Flamingo right off the 215, will bring a FREE plate of its French toast if you purchase another entree too (which will set you back $14.) The eatery sources all its bred from Bon Breads Baking Co., a local business that bakes ah-maz-ing breads.
The Elvis French toast is a brioche with banana peanut butter, bacon and honey. The restaurant also has three other French toast offerings that are vegan.
This offering is good for brunch Saturday and Sunday.

Try out Lee Canyon’s new lodge
I personally moved to Las Vegas to get away from the snow. I own a condo in downtown core Aspen and don’t show up until Memorial Day because I hate snow.
But if you like snow, check out the new Hillside Lodge at Lee Canyon. It’s grand opening celebration is this week-end. Enjoy the live music on the thankfully heated terrace.
Tomorrow watch the 5th annual Chris Ruby Cub banked slalom run run. Being a spectator Olympic-style is FREE but actually racing costs $20.
In case you want to spend money, you can actually go skiing and then down an adult beverage at the ski-in, ski-out bar.
The modernistic two-story lodge looks cool. (Pun intended.)

If you want to spend money, Keith Urban launches his Las Vegas residency this week-end. This man can really put on a show. He and Brad Paisley are the two best guitar virtuosos in country music, in my humble opinion.
Have a great week-end Las Vegas!
